Popular Channels TV Reporter, Chukwuma Onuekwusi Is Dead

    Chukwuma Onuekwusi, an experienced Journalist, reporter, and broadcaster. He died in the early hours of Tuesday morning. According to his close associates, he has been ill for some time now.

    Chukwuma is the State House Correspondent of Channels Television. Since joining in 1998, Chukwuma has covered a variety of stories, including reporting extensively on the elections that brought the former President Obasanjo and the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua to power. He also reported President Jonathan’s election victory.

    Chukwuma has also interviewed numerous high-profile leaders.

    Prolific in news casting, Chukwuma has also presented programmes like Politics Today. His reporting style and experience got him a nominee for the Nigeria Media Merit Awards in 2001 as well as coverage of the Abia bureau for two years.

    Chukwuma also has a diploma in Mass Communication (Radio/TV Broadcasting) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka and has attended journalism courses in Nigeria and the BBC.

    Channels Television has lost one of it’s brightest anchor person. He died at the age of 55 and is survived by his wife and children.
