    No fewer than 4 individuals had been killed in a suicide bomb assault on Thursday at Amarwa neighborhood of Konduga Local Government Area of Borno.

    The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) studies that the incident occurred at about 2 p.m. when a male suicide bomber infiltrated the village and detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) strapped to his physique.

    An eye witness, Bukar Fantai, advised NAN that the bomber managed to sneak into the village disguising as a grain service provider.

    Fantai stated that the rebel first approached a store keeper and supplied sorghum on the market.

    He stated the terrorist, thereafter, went to a shade the place many villagers gathered for leisure and detonated the explosive.

    “The suicide bomber detonated the IED, blew up himself, killing three other persons, while 13 others sustained injuries in the explosion,” he stated.

    A reliable safety supply confirmed the assault to NAN, saying that the wounded individuals had been referred to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) for remedy.

    The supply stated that Police EOD and patrol groups had been deployed to sanitise the scene of the assault, including that normalcy had been restored to the realm.

    Police and army authorities have but to touch upon the incident. (NAN)
