The Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Garbai, has counseled President Muhammadu Buhari, over his unflinching commitments to finish Boko Haram insurgency within the nation.
Garbai made the commendation when the Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj.-Gen. Rogers Nicholas, paid him a courtesy go to in Maiduguri.
He stated that Buhari had demonstrated better political will to finish insurgency and deal with the humanitarian disaster ravaging the northeast area.
Garbai famous that the insurgents had ravaged the state and destroyed important social and financial actions within the area.
“In the previous three years, Maiduguri International Airport was closed down, main roads linking Maiduguri to different locations had been blocked by the insurgents.
“When President Buhari assumed mantle of management, he moved the Military Command and Control Center to Maiduguri.
“The president accorded precedence to the availability of logistics and enchancment of the welfare of troopers which motivated them to place of their greatest and report vital successes in opposition to the insurgents.
“He also appointed our people into key government positions,” he stated.
Garbai counseled the army for his or her dedication to counter-campaign and pledged his council’s assist to the command.
In his remarks, Nicholas stated that he was on the palace to introduce himself and condole with the emir over the unlucky incidents.
He recalled that he began his army profession in Bama and served in numerous areas in Borno, which availed him the chance of being conversant with the geography of the state.
