The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it has accepted the promotion of seven,330 its workers who had been profitable within the promotion train carried out between August and November 2017.
According to an announcement by Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, on Wednesday in Abuja, the quantity includes of four,917 senior and a pair of,413 junior officers.
He acknowledged that the four,917 senior workers represented 92.1 per cent of a complete of 5,335 workers (Grade Level 07-15) that had been eligible to undertake the train.
Oyekanmi added that the fee had additionally endorsed the promotion of two,413 eligible junior workers on Grade Level 03 – 06.
“However, some 326 individuals, constituting 6.1 per cent failed or absconded from the examination, while 92 persons on interdiction, representing 1.7 per cent could not write the test.”
He famous that profitable officers had secured the necessary move mark of 60, which paved the best way for his or her elevation.
“The Commission considers common promotion of workers as one of many surest methods of boosting workers morale and welfare with a purpose to encourage their dedication, loyalty and enhance productiveness.
“It can be designed to inspire them to contribute positively to the Commission’s set targets and aims.’’ (NAN)
