    A 35-year-old motor boy, Rasheed Balogun, who allegedly beat-up his fellow motor boy and eliminated three of his tooth, was on Thursday in Lagos granted a N200, 000 bail.

    An Apapa Magistrates’ Court which gave the ruling requested Balogun to offer two sureties as a part of the bail circumstances.

    The Magistrate, Mr M.A Etti mentioned the sureties needs to be gainfully employed and will present proof of two years’ tax fee to the Lagos State Government.

    Etti adjourned the case till Jan. 5, 2018 for point out.

    Balogun, who resides at Amukoko space of Apapa, Lagos, is going through a two count-charge bordering on assault.

    Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sgt. Olusegun Kokoye, advised the courtroom that the accused dedicated the offences on Nov. 6, at Alafia Bus Stop, Amukoko, Apapa, Lagos.

    Kokoye mentioned the accused assaulted the complainant, Lukman Afolabi, by giving him a number of punches on the mouth, which eliminated his three entrance tooth.

    The prosecutor mentioned that the combat began after the duo had an argument over some cash points.

    The offences contravened Sections 244 and 245 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

    Section 245 prescribes a seven-year jail time period for offenders.

    The accused had, nevertheless, pleaded not responsible to the cost.
