    The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) says the Emergency Communication Centres throughout the 36 states of the federation will quickly be accomplished.

    The Director, Technical Standards, NCC, Dr Fidelis Onah made this recognized to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sidelines of the 90th Consumer Outreach Programme of NCC in Aba.

    NAN stories that the centres have been supposed to bridge the communication hole between totally different emergency response companies within the nation.

    Onah mentioned NCC was consulting with the National Security Adviser and state governors for the completion of the centres to make sure they weren’t duplicated by state governments.

    He mentioned that the centres had already gulped over N10 billion.

    He mentioned that though they emit radiations, the radiation was not “ionised”, including that masts have been positioned after correct scrutiny by NCC and Ministry of Environment.

    Onah mentioned that the issues state governments face as regard price fee by telecom operators usually arose from the duplication of the charges by state governments.

    He, subsequently, urged the state governments to merge the totally different service charges to make the price simple for the operators to pay.

    Speaking on the occasion, The Director, Consumer Affairs Bureau, (CAB), NCC, Mr Abdulahi Maikano mentioned the discussion board was meant to carry Abia telecom stakeholders collectively to proffer options to their challenges.

    He mentioned the discussion board sought to teach stakeholders on up to date points and to get suggestions which might assist in regulating the sector.

    Maikano, represented by Deputy Director (CAB), Mr Ismaila Adedigba urged the service suppliers to supply customers with varied initiatives meant to guard, inform and educate them.
