NANS enforces sale of gasoline at N145 per litre in Asaba

    The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on Tuesday visited some filling stations in Asaba compelling them to promote gasoline on the official pump worth of N145 per litre.

    The college students led by the NANS President, Mr Chinonso Obasi, condemned the sale of gasoline above the conventional worth.

    NANS had on Wednesday arrange a monitoring workforce on petrol pricing, distribution and gross sales.

    Obasi famous that the scholars’ physique was a significant stakeholder within the worth regulatory management  and had at its council assembly, resolved that gasoline should promote at N145 per litre.

    He mentioned the affiliation couldn’t permit Nigerians to be exploited within the face of harsh economic system.

    Obasi mentioned that the scholars had resolved to seal any filling station promoting gasoline above the conventional worth.

    The filling stations visited embody Rainoil, Ascon and Fynefield which had been promoting gasoline at N160 and N220 respectively.

    Three members of workers of Fynefield filling stations had been arrested in reference to the over pricing and handed over to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps.
