(dpa/NAN) Official says 13,000 staff of the UNRelief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees within the Near East (UNRWA) on Monday started a one-day strike, protesting U.S. President Donald Trump’s determination to freeze funding to the company.
Secretary-General of the UNRWA staff’ union Yousef Hamdouna advised reporters that the intention of the overall strike is to pressure donor states to stress the U.S. to reverse its determination.
