    The President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has charged Nigerian youths to be actively concerned within the day after day actions of the parliament.

    While interacting with a youth group drawn from the 6 geopolitical zones, Saraki advised younger Nigerians that they have been duty-bound to get actively concerned and work together with the parliament for larger accountability.

    The youth group underneath the aegis of “The Public Senate” was within the National Assembly on a quest to know extra concerning the working of the legislative arm of presidency.

    Saraki whereas admiring their quest to be taught and get entangled, pressured that the legislative arm was the one arm of presidency that provides room for all to get entangled.

    He therefor charged them and different younger Nigerians get entangled with the parliament particularly the eightth meeting that has thrown its actions open to public view and scrutiny.

    “Working with parliament ensures that government works for you and that they are accountable”.

    On his half, the Leader of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, lauded the youth for taking the transfer to interact the Senate.

    “I want we’re in a position to obtain any such engagement with as many Nigerians as potential

    “We want such engagements to be deepened and inspired on a regular basis.

    “We need to encourage you and see if there are ways to partner with organizations to bring people to see what we do here”, the Senate Leader enthused.

    Speaking with journalists shortly after the assembly, the chief of ‘The Public Senate’ delegation mentioned the notion of the youth on parliament wants to vary.

    According to him, what the younger folks expertise throughout such engagement would encourage them to work in direction of holding public places of work.

    The convener mentioned as leaders of tomorrow, the youth want to start out understanding how authorities works.

    “The Public Senate is a platform geared toward educating and fascinating the common Nigerian youth on advocacy points. Our mandate can be to make the Nigerian youth perceive the workings of parliament.

    “Over time the youth have come to consider that lawmakers, significantly the senators, solely have classes to debate fats salaries, vehicles or wardrobe allowances.

    “But we now know that this isn’t true. What now we have began is to point out the youth what the senate is actually all about and to do that we’ve introduced seven younger folks from throughout Nigeria to watch senators debate points in plenary amongst different actions.
