    The Police in Taraba on Wednesday known as for calm following the kidnapping of Mr Hosea Ibi,  a member of the Taraba House of Assembly by gunmen 4 days in the past.

    Spokesman of the police command within the state, Mr David Misal (ASP), informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jalingo that the police had been doing their absolute best to make sure the lawmaker was launched unharmed.

    Misal mentioned that the police had intensified seek for the lawmaker and his captors, including that vital progress had been made within the operation.

    He mentioned that giving extra details about the operation to the general public would jeopardize police investigation.

    “The replace we’ve got isn’t for public consumption within the curiosity of the safety and the protection of the lawmaker.

    Ibi was kidnapped by gunmen in Takum, headquarters of Takum Local Government Area of the state.

    The lawmaker, who represents Takum 1 Constituency, was kidnapped in his moms’ home on Dec. 30, 2017.
