Rescued Canadians, Americans recognized



    ACP Abba Kyari: unveils the identities of the Canadians and Americans

    The two Americans and two Canadians rescued from kidnappers in Kaduna, have been recognized by the police. One of them is feminine.

    Assistant Commissioner of Police  Abba Kyari,  who additionally heads  the Inspector-General of police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) unveiled the identities of the victims immediately, at a press convention in Lagos.

    “Those rescued are; Nate Vangeest and Rachel Kelley(female), Canada, as well as John Kirlin and Dean Slocum, U.S.”, Kyari mentioned.

    “We rescued the two Americans and two Canadian citizens, three males and one female in fairly good health around 7:30 a.m. today, Jan. 20.”

    “The victims have been handed over to the American Embassy in Abuja for medical consideration and different fast wants,’’ Kyari mentioned.

    He  mentioned two of the suspected kidnappers had been arrested.

    Kyari mentioned the rescue operation was carried out by a mixed workforce of IRT, Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) and the Kaduna Police Command deployed by the Inspector-General of Police.

    He mentioned efforts had been ongoing to arrest different suspects nonetheless at giant.

    The 4 foreigners had been kidnapped alongside Kwoi-Jere street in Kagarko native authorities space of Kaduna State.

    Two Nigerian policemen, escorting them had been killed by the gunmen.

    Confirming the event to journalists on Saturday, State Commissioner of Police, Mr Agyole Abeh mentioned the 2 foreigners had been rescued by the police at Jere space in Kagarko Local Government Area of the state.
