    The Managing Director of Lagos Water Corporation (LWC), Mr Muminu Badmus, on Friday urged Lagosians to imbibe the tradition of water conservation.

    Badmus gave this recommendation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

    He stated that the worldwide water shortage risk necessitates clever utilization of water by shoppers.

    According to him, any shopper that makes use of water correctly will admire the metering system the company has adopted to guard the curiosity of residents.

    ”The metering system has made water shoppers to concentrate on how a lot the company fees per cubic meter, which is equal to 1000 litres.

    ”For readability, low density areas pay N200, excessive density areas, N250 and industrial customers N350 per cubic meters respectively.

    ”This is the most affordable fee you’ll find in any nation,” he stated.

    Badmus stated that the Corporation has metered about 32,000 properties within the first section of the train.

    According to him, 24,000 pre-paid meters, 6,000 previous meters and a couple of,000 mechanical meters have been put in in Lekki axis, Victoria Island Annex, Surulere, Omole and Ikeja amongst others.

    Badmus stated that the metering of homes would proceed to different communities not but coated as soon as there was supply of extra meters.

    He enjoined the residents not but metered to not relent in paying their water payments.

    The managing director stated that these metered could be recharging their playing cards once they run out of water.
